MY APPROACH

I support people to reconnect with their innate impulse to grow, heal and experience joy. As a certified Organic Intelligence® Coach, I integrate mind and body wisdom to help people navigate towards embodied, authentic, vibrant living in the here and now. This brings movement from states of trauma, overwhelm, distress and stuckness to states of ease, flow, aliveness and greater capacity to participate with life and to enjoy it.

WHAT IS ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE®?

Organic Intelligence® (OI™) is an integrative, mind-body approach working with the innate, auto-organising (self-healing) impulse within us all, which knows exactly how to heal, grow and thrive. Founded by Steve Hoskinson, OI weaves together neurobiology, psychology, complexity science, mindfulness and spirituality in a compassionate, deeply attuned and transformative framework. Working at the foundational level of the human neurobiology allows us to create lasting change, restore biological balance and live from our wholeness, for the well-being and flourishing of ourselves, others and the planet.

WHAT DOES A SESSION LOOK LIKE?

  • Sessions are held on Zoom and last 50 - 60 minutes.

  • Our work takes place within a ‘free association conversation’ where the client can share a particular topic they would like to cover, or simply what is arising for them in that moment.

  • This is an integrative mind-body approach, exploring the client’s experience and gaining wisdom from many different aspects of their being e.g. thoughts, emotions, sensations, images, movements.

  • I attune to the patterns of the client’s nervous system, shepherding cycles of activation and deactivation so they remain within appropriate levels of intensity, finding the sweetspot of not too much and not too little. This helps set up the conditions for their system to do what it is made to do: return to biological synchrony where all parts of the self are working together in rhythmic harmony.

  • I support the client’s orientation to the present moment through mindfulness, which provides bio-feedback of being in the here and now and interrupts repetitive patterns of the threat response which can be keeping them stuck in survival mode. Attention is then freed up to be directed towards greater ease and enjoyment.

  • I guide the client to notice and receive the support and resources coming from their very own being. This can help them to integrate previously overwhelming experiences and restore the felt-sense of greater wholeness, as well as building resiliency, capacity and empowerment.

  • It is a very collaborative, compassionate, effective and non-pathologising process. No one size fits all, so the absolute foundation of this approach is attunement, which means me being with all that you are and all that you are becoming in each unfolding moment.
